Dr Aijaz Turk

Gastroenterologist & hematologist,





Aijaz obtained his MBBS from LMC in 1977. He moved to the USA in 1983 and did his residency  at the University of Illinois Urbana campaign in internal medicine. He was awarded Fellowship in gastroenterology & hepatology  at Loyola University Chicago from 1989 to 1992. Since 1992, he is practicing as consultant gastroenterologist & hematologist in Kalamazoo Michigan. He worked as ac linical assistant professor & then progressed to associate professor of internal medicine at Michigan State University.




Dr Ziauddin Ahmed Shaikh

President SDA, UK




Dr. Ziauddin Ahmed Shaikh earned his MBBS from Liaqat Medical College (University of Sindh)  in 1972 and FRCS from Edinburagh in 1984. He retired in 2009 as the Professor and Chairman of the Department of  Ophthalmology at  Dow University of Health Sciences, Pakistan. In 2010, he moved to the UK and continues to play an active role in his field. Currently, he is the president of Sindh Doctors Association, UK.

Jawed graduated in Civil Engneering followed by masters in Water Resources Engineering from Mehran University of Engineering and Technology. He has over 20 years of experience in the execution and management of civil works, in particular motorways development. He has an excellent track record of on time quality delivery of national level projects under challenging situations.




Ashfaque Soomro

Ashfaque Soomro

Senior Carrier Technical Manager,

BlackBerry Ltd., Canada



Ashfaque earned his first degree in Electrical Engineering, followed by M.Engg in Engineering Management from the University of Ottawa. Since 2008, he has been working with BlackBerry as a Senior Carrier Technical Manage and is responsible for NPI (New Product Introduction) technical interactions with key North American Telecom Carriers. He successfully managed the  launch of lead products and achieved carrier technical acceptance for several BlackBerry Software releases. Before joining BlackBerry Ltd, he worked with several prestigious organisations including University of Ottawa’s Technology Transfer & Business Enterprise Office, Celestica International Inc.,  Siemens Pakistan and Sui Southern Gas Company Ltd.





Dr Amjad Memon

Dept. of Transportation & Infrastructure Renewal, Province of Nova Scotia, Canada



Amjad earned his PhD in Structural Engineering from University of Manitoba, Canada. Dr Memon has a professional management and technical experience with various organizations in Canada and Oman. He is regsitered as  a Professional Engineer in Canada. Currently, he is the Manager for the structural wing for the Department of Transportation and Infrstructure Renewal, Nova Scotia Province, Canada. He sits on several professional committes including one the technical committee for the development of Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code CHBDC,  CSA S6-14.


Dr. Memon is a highly motivated, results-oriented manager with over 20 years of experience in multi-disciplinary environment dealing with  design and construction of complex infrastructure projects.
